Vicky Smith has over 20 years’ experience in the Human Resources field as Chief Operating Officer of a global organization with more than 500 franchises worldwide where she was instrumental in designing and leading the implementation of HR best practices for a highly successful organization.
In 2000 she started the consulting firm of Contact Coaching and Training Services providing training and consulting services to organizations in non-profit, government and business sectors. Since 2009, Vicky has provided technical support services to MEDA microfinance clients in Afghanistan, Syria, Bosnia, Philippines and Lebanon.
Areas of focus have been completing Human Resources diagnostic and organizational analysis; and working hands on with clients to ensure best practices in human resources strategy; policies and procedures; recruitment, selection and retention; performance management; training and development; and compensation that are effective in the microfinance sector.
Vicky has co-authored ‘Staffing Organization: Recruitment and Selection in Canada’ used in HR programs at the university and community college levels throughout Canada. She has a university degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Adult Education.
