Ms. Rosemary Kantai has over 25 years experience in the field of Microfinance. For 15 years, Rosemary worked in a senior position in one of the leading microfinance institutions in Kenya. Part of her job involved institution restructuring, development and launch of new products (for both the urban and rural clientele), designing product operational manuals, staff development and review of management information systems. She was also in charge of all the operations spread out in various regional offices in the country.
For the last 10 years Rosemary has been offering consultancy services focusing on capacity building for Microfinance professionals in order to improve access to finance in an efficient and sustainable manner. Over time she has undertaken various assignments for microfinance institutions, NGOs, development institutions and banks mainly in Institutional Assessments, capacity building, Business Development Services, Market research, project design and implementation.
Over and above her academic credentials, Rosemary has attended various trainings in and outside the country further enhancing her knowledge and skills in development finance. Rosemary is a Faculty member of the School of African Microfinance (SAM).
