Lucy Nguru has over 15 years hands on experience in Enterprise Development - in Microfinance, Training, Product Development and Project Management. She managed micro finance operations of the Kenya Women Finance Trust (KWFT) for 12 years. KWFT has countrywide operations that includes a rural population of MSMEs clientele who are also involved in agriculture, it both group based methodology and individual lending approaches are used to deliver its services.
Since 2003 Lucy has been consulting as a trainer and business development consultant in the region. She has undertaken assignments in Enterprise Development with a bias on Microfinance and Business Development Services in agribusiness that includes design and technical support on the agribusiness value chain finance.
Lucy holds a B.Ed. (Hons) in Business Education and Secretarial from Kenyatta University and is presently pursuing an MBA at the University of Nairobi. She is a certified International Labour Organization (ILO) trainer for Small & Medium Enterprises under the Expand Your Business (EYB) program. She is also a certified Business Edge Trainer (SMEs Solutions) by the IFC, World Bank Group 2009.
