Christine Wanjiru Gachui is a Senior Manager in Banking and Financial Services Domain of MicroSave Africa and she leads the Banking and SME finance team in the domain. She is a consultant with over ten years of experience in strategy development, development of client centric products and processes leveraging on transformative technology, customer experience design, digital financial services and responsible inclusive finance. She is a certified trainer and is part of the training faculty for The Helix Institute, the training arm of MicroSave. She has worked in projects for banks, MFIs and MNOs in Kenya,
Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, DRC, Ghana, Mozambique, Sierra Leone and Indonesia.

DFS Training:

As part of the expert training faculty of the Helix Institute, the training arm of MicroSave has been involved in the development and delivery of the following trainings:

  • Lead Trainer Agent Banking Training for First Allied, Ghana: Trained senior management on agency banking strategy, agent selection and on-boarding, agent training, monitoring and support, liquidity management, risk and fraud management, and agent training guidelines.
  • Digital Credit Training for Reseau Helix: Responsible for the development of digital credit training and delivery of training of trainers to on-train financial services practitioners in the WAEMU region – Francophone Africa.
  • Lead Trainer Digital Financial Services Training to Financial Services Providers in Sierra Leone: Trained senior and middle level managers of DFS sector players including banks, MNOs, third parties, regulator among others on DFS. Specific training modules included introduction to DFS, DFS Constraints Framework, Building, Incentivising and Managing DFS agent networks, marketing for DFS, fraud management in DFS, and Product Opportunities and Challenges
